Tim Roca MP
Member of Parliament for Macclesfield
About me
I’m proud to have been born and raised in the Macclesfield area. I went to school in Poynton and my mum and her mum worked in our local NHS. After school I was lucky to be the first in my family to go to University to study History at Lancaster. I started a career in Higher Education with work eventually taking me to London.
After standing as Labour’s Parliamentary candidate in Macclesfield in 2015 I was elected to Westminster Council becoming part of the Labour team that won the City from the Conservatives for the first time in history. I’ll always be proud that the lad from Macclesfield became the Deputy Leader of the City of Westminster.
In 2022 my partner moved up north and we are now living back here in Macclesfield. Coming home was always the plan. In December 2023 I was privileged to be selected as Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate and I was duly elected the Member of Parliament for Macclesfield in July 2024.
